bio
Jessica Fisher (b. 1994, Albany, NY) is a Brooklyn-based designer and artisan working across art, decor, and home. Her practice sits at the intersection of craft and design, each piece beginning as an investigation of form, structure, and how an object earns its place in a room.
Her work moves fluidly between sculpture and function, built through a process that treats materials with the same rigor as concept: translating a 2D idea into dimensional form, developing a glaze or finish from scratch, coordinating a piece from first sketch through production. She is drawn to raw, discovered forms, but nothing leaves her studio without intention behind it. She approaches her studio the way a design practice operates: with systems, documentation, and a clear language that connects one piece to the next.
She's also a committed collaborator and instructor, drawn to studio environments where ideas and craft develop in the open. Her work has been featured in exhibitions and events including Salon Art + Design (2024), TUMBAO (2023), and Building Black Bed-Stuy (2021).
At its core, Jessica's work makes the case that craft and design aren't in tension — they are coexisting disciplines. Every object is meant to feel both considered and inevitable: a piece that looks like it could only exist the way it does.
